Rep. VanderWall sworn in for another term

State Rep. Curt VanderWall (R-Ludington) was sworn into office for another term today. Michigan’s 103rd legislative term began following today’s swearing-in ceremony.

VanderWall represents the 102nd District, which includes parts of Oceana, Manistee, Mason, and Muskegon counties. He was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2016, and later served in the state Senate from 2018 to 2022 before returning to the House in 2023.

Before being elected to the Michigan House, VanderWall served as commissioner and chairman for the Mason County Board of Commissioners. He also served on the Western Michigan Fair Association for six years, was district chair for MSU Extension and served on boards for the United Way of Mason County.

The representatives committee assignments for the current term will be announced in the coming weeks.
