Rep. Slagh sworn in for fourth term

State Rep. Brad Slagh (R-Zeeland) has taken his oath of office for his fourth term. Michigan’s 103^rd legislative term began following Wednesday’s swearing-in ceremony.

The returning legislator represents the people of the 85th House District, which encompasses parts of Ottawa County, including Georgetown and Zeeland Township, the cities of Hudsonville and Zeeland, and parts of Jamestown and Holland townships. He was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2018.

Rep. Slagh: Tipped workers need a bit of Christmas magic

State Rep. Bradley Slagh is continuing to stand up for tipped workers and small businesses by supporting and speaking with restaurant workers and small business owners throughout his community. He is spending the week before Christmas buying gift cards from local restaurants and passing them out to constituents throughout the district along with a message that reads: “Helping to brighten your holiday season and that of our restaurants and tipped employees. Please continue to support our dining establishments and those who make them run in the weeks and months ahead.”

House approves Rep. Slagh bill to better protect private property owners against trespassing

The Michigan House has approved a bill introduced by Rep. Bradley Slagh to better protect private property owners against unauthorized trespassing on their land. The representative said the legislation was inspired by concerns raised by local residents who had trouble receiving assistance from law enforcement following instances of trespassing.

The Dutch have contributed so much to our state and continue to do so. It’s an honor to introduce this measure and celebrate our ancestors.”
